Hamaari Sada Trust, in collaboration with the Students Islamic Organization Delhi Zone (SIO), organized a four-day summer camp for children from June 1st to June 4th at Auj-e-Falak Shiksha Centre in Madanpur Khadar JJ Colony, South Delhi. The camp saw the participation of 50 enthusiastic students.

Children’s activities at this summer camp included competitions, interactive sessions, games both inside and outside, personality development, the value of education, and politeness.

Opening remarks by Mohd. Irshad Alam, Founder, Hamaari Sada Trust on day – 1 of the summer camp

SIO Delhi General Secretary S Razi Hassan and member Mohammad Yousuf led the children’s activities. Razi focused on students in grades 7 through 12, while Mohammad Yousuf worked with students in grades 1 through 6. These activities took place daily from June 1st to June 4th, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The summer camp commenced with an introduction of participants, which laid the groundwork for an array of captivating activities aimed at captivating the kids. Highlights included talks about misinformation and social media, lively painting sessions, memory games, table games, naats, nazms, poems, and songs. The kids also liked watching a showing of “The Lion King.” Daily refreshments were offered to keep the kids active and engaged in the camp experience, so sustaining their excitement.

Where did the communication go wrong?

On the last day of the summer camp, guests were called for prize distribution among the children. The guests encouraged the children by sharing their experiences.

Speaking to the kids, senior journalist Ghazanfar Abbas said, “I love this facility because I always see what goes on here. Every youngster puts up a lot of effort, and your behavior reflects that. To gain recognition, you must keep up your hard work, but make sure that your good deeds are what make you popular.”

Asif Shahid, founder of Ad-Shala, commended the center’s activities, noting, “The productivity of the teachers is evident in your activities. Your inquisitiveness with the guests, your confidence, and your constant hard work stand out. Continue on this path; it is the surest route to success.”

 

The students were praised and encouraged by Syed Umair Afzal, the SIO Delhi Zone secretary and camp convener. He gave an explanation of the camp’s goal, saying, “We want to impart new knowledge using creative approaches. The better version of yourself should stand out from the crowd when you reintegrate into society. Talk to as many people as you can about the new knowledge you have gained.”

At the end of the summer camp, the children who achieved first place in the activities were awarded certificates of appreciation and prizes, generating great excitement among all the participants.

At the end of the program, the participants shared their thoughts, expressing that the camp’s activities were highly enjoyable. They appreciated meeting new people, gaining knowledge, and having a lot of fun. They also mentioned learning valuable skills that will be useful in the real world.
