A special program on the theme of “Environmental Awareness” was organized at Hamaari Sada Trust’s Rising Skill Development Centre Madanpur Kahdar Extention, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi. Around 60 students participated in the session and delivered speeches on various environmental issues in the country.
The program began with Mohd. Irshad Alam, the founder of Hamaari Sada Trust, addressing the students. He spoke about the importance of protecting and preserving the environment.
Following his address, a 10th-grade student, Nazia, anchored the session with great enthusiasm and carried the program forward in an engaging manner. After that, several students shared their thoughts on keeping the environment clean and green.
Students also recited poems about nature and urged everyone to care for trees, avoid cutting them down, and plant more saplings. Speeches on environmental awareness were delivered in both Urdu and English. On this occasion, student Anam recited a heartfelt poem on the environment:
“You breathe because of me,
If I’m gone, there will be no water left for thee.
I am part of you, and you are part of me,
You live because of me.
Don’t cut me down — it hurts deeply…”
Hamaari Sada Trust’s Commitment to the Needy Students
Hamaari Sada Trust has been serving educational and economically weaker children for many years. The centre not only provides education to children, but also offers English speaking and computer learning courses for boys and girls.
In addition to academics, the trust regularly conducts monthly programs under Media Orientation and Advocacy to help in the personality development of children. These programs aim to bring out the hidden talents in children and encourage healthy competition among them.
At the end of the event, founder Mohd. Irshad Alam thanked all the children, especially those who participated in the centre’s program for the first time and gathered the courage to present their speeches.
Parents present at the event also shared their thoughts, saying that such activities help children overcome fear and develop public speaking skills.
