New Delhi, Madanpur Khadar | 24 July 2025 —
Hamaari Sada Trust actively participated in the NGO Coordination Meeting organized by EFRAH NGO, which brought together a diverse group of stakeholders—including NGOs from Madanpur Khadar, Sarita Vihar, and nearby areas, along with MCD workers, RWA members, school managers, and community social workers—to strengthen collaborative efforts for holistic community development.
The meeting was convened by Mohd. Firdosh, Project Manager at EFRAH, to engage key stakeholders, share updates on ongoing initiatives, and explore opportunities for collective action to ensure continued success in community-based interventions.
During the session, Mohd. Irshad Alam, founder of Hamaari Sada Trust, emphasized the urgent need to prioritize youth empowerment and skill development, stating:
“We need to invest in our young people, especially by giving them education and employable skills, if we hope to see a thriving and independent community.”
He also addressed a growing social concern—the weakening of family structures, particularly the increasing disconnect between husbands and wives. Drawing from his experience as a social worker and journalist, he shared:
“A healthy community begins with strong families. When there is tension between parents, it deeply affects children, often leading to emotional distress and distraction from education. Unfortunately, minor disagreements between spouses are increasingly turning into legal disputes, disturbing the peace and stability of the household. It is essential to nurture mutual understanding, compassion, and emotional support within families to ensure their well-being and, in turn, the well-being of the entire community.”
Representatives from Ummid Ki Udaan, Azad NGO, Khushi NGO, Nidan, Jagori, ActionAid Association, Sugandh, Plan India, Anganwadi Workers, Mahila Panchayat, and several other organizations shared updates on their ongoing initiatives and emphasized the need for stronger inter-NGO collaboration to effectively mobilize beneficiaries and enhance the overall impact of community programs.
Additionally, MCD workers present at the meeting issued a seasonal advisory regarding the monsoon, cautioning against waterlogging and encouraging cleanliness to prevent disease outbreaks.
Hamaari Sada Trust also shared updates on its remedial education initiatives designed to support slow learners within the community, along with its Basic Computer Literacy Program. The Trust further announced plans to launch skill development courses in areas such as digital marketing, graphic designing, and video editing—aimed at equipping youth with industry-relevant skills and preparing them to enter the workforce with confidence.
The Trust expressed its sincere thanks to EFRAH NGO, especially Mohd. Firdosh, for organizing this meaningful meeting and for providing a valuable platform for collaboration among community-focused institutions.
